"Lonely days, lonely nights.  When will I get to see my woman?"

The rains of the monsoon season brought a monotony that I thought would never end.  As I recall we were back at the MRB for more Base Interior Defense (BID patrols) circling the ships and tossing TNT periodically.  Boredom was a huge enemy and it took its toll.  Get me out on operations or get me the hell outta here.

SN John McDowell and me in dungarees meant it must have been laundry day.  Some times during the rainy season it was slightly cool and about the only long sleeved shirt I had was the dungaree shirt.  The clothes we wore didn't mean much to us at the time.  If you want to see the various uniforms of the day see this page.
